Good old WordPress app. I uploaded the app as apparently you can now see images as you post them (instead of a string of computer code), and created the previous post ‘and mud, sand and stones’. Then I published it, only to discover the image sizes were all over the place and one (on my screen anyway) was stretched out of all proportion. So I’ve deleted it and here it is again… looks like future posts will have to be done on our laptop or via BlogPadPro as previously.
Anyway, where was I? oh yes…
Recent workbook sketches from a trip last week to Burnham Overy Marsh on the north Norfolk coast, in cold winds, grim sky and mist (the forecast said ‘fair’).

These are almost sculptural Mari – would love to see them HUGE 🙂
Thank you Elaine! I’m trying to do as recommended by many artists, tutors and writers, and stick to a theme, go with it, wring every ounce out of it, without worrying about exhibiting or selling the results just yet. That’s what I’m doing with the salt marsh stuff this year. I’m finding it rewarding and exciting 🙂 x
Love this work, Mari.
Many thanks Anthea! 🙂

lovely design. bold strong colours and tone – love this image!
Thanks Debi! and for checking out my blog.
Love the middle and bottom images particularly Mari. Some fascinating transparent sort of effects…lifted off perhaps. Like!!!
Thanks v much Ruth. I’m enjoying this run of experimental work. Am hoping to be able to work at a larger scale in same way, but meantime am just enjoying ‘running with it’ and hoping it will eventually result in a series of work. 🙂
Love the colour toning and abstraction…warm regards Karen
many thanks Karen, appreciate your feedback!
