painting with a lens…

Sometimes I work with a camera (see my photo gallery in the menu).
Images from a recent break in mediaeval Lavenham in Suffolk, which is full of half-timbered buildings from the 14th century onwards. I love finding the overlooked or unnoticed view hidden in old places. These are all as found, created ‘in-camera’.

  1. I’ve long followed your blog and your painting Mari, always enthralled by your sketchbook work in particular, but your photo gallery is something else. How you capture these ‘in camera’ eludes me. Your photos have such an ethereal look to them but show what a ‘great eye’ you have for a composition.

    • Lesley, thanks so much for your lovely considered response to my post and my photographs. It’s always great to get feedback, but as my photography can get a bit overlooked, I really appreciate your comment.
