I love everything about these two Mari, the movement and the brush work is just fantastic. I get the colour selection as well, is this reflections in the canal water?
thanks so much Neil. The second image is actually a detail of the first, although I wish it was a big painting on its own – it would be one to be proud of! I suppose some of the image could be seen as reflections, I don’t consciously determine what the different elements in many of my works are, they appear and they either work or get wiped out ha ha! I just aim for an array of impressions sparked by subconscious memories and hope that people can see things there – not necessarily what I see… and that’s very satisfying to me.
